Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled FP&A Senior Analyst with good technology and AI skills. The role combines traditional senior financial planning and analysis responsibilities with a specific focus on leveraging advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). Key duties include developing financial models, managing budgets and forecasts, preparing executive reports, and analyzing performance. The AI aspect involves using advanced analytics, AI tools, and large data sets to improve forecasting, scenario modeling, and decision support, often requiring skills in Tableau, SQL, R, or Python and Gen AI tools.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Building, maintaining, and refining complex financial models (excel, EPM systems like HFM, Oracle or OneStream, Python etc.) for budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Conducting in-depth variance analysis of actual results Vs plan/forecast, identifying key drivers and trends, and preparing executive-level reports and dashboards
  • Business Partnering: Collaborating closely with business unit finance teams, corporate finance teams (Controller, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit) and cross-functional leaders to align financial assumptions, shape plans and forecasts, and influence strategic business decisions using data-driven insights.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Supporting strategic initiatives such as cost optimization projects, pricing/revenue optimization initiatives and other strategic projects as needed.
  • Data and technology: Supporting and evangelizing analytics and AI initiatives for FP&A and broader finance teams. Promote Tableau reports and dashboards to reduce manual effort. Learn and use AI technologies as needed to improve productivity for FP&A and finance teams.
  •  Corporate Expenses: Assist in managing operating expenses from various corporate functions including IT, Legal, HR, Finance and Executive teams. Will lead the budget, forecasts and variance analysis.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel for complex modeling is essential. Experience with EPM (e.g., OneStream, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Planning), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and exposure to Python for automation or analysis is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication and storytelling skills to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Mindset: A process improvement and growth mindset, capable of working in a fast-paced, high-transparency environment and managing multiple priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in manufacturing companies is preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required, up to 10%.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a highly analytical FP&A, corporate finance, or related role.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $90-115K.

This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus with a target incentive of 10% of base salary.
