The Requirements

 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Financial / Accounting Manager opportunity, you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of increasing accounting, finance, and/or operational experience, including 1+ years as a manager
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • A CPA, CMA or master's degree is preferred, either completed or in progress
  • A self-starter mentality, strong process orientation and a drive for continuous improvement

The Role

 

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our global financial reporting process, with a focus on consolidation and SEC reporting, including driving the period-end close process by working closely with various key members of the business. A key component of the role is communication and collaboration with the controllers and finance teams at the local sites to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial results. You also will supervise a direct report within the financial reporting function and report directly to the Assistant Controller.

In addition to the qualifications described under The Requirements tab, you will need:

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively supervise a direct report
  • The ability to manage multiple initiatives across several sites at one time
  • Prior experience with various technical accounting topics and internal controls; experience with SEC reporting is preferred
  • Experience with a multinational manufacturing company is preferred
  • Recent SAP and/or HFM experience is preferred
  • Recent experience in Blackline, Shareworks and/or Active Disclosure is a plus

 

More about the Role

 

In addition to the responsibilities described under The Role tab, you will:

  • Manage the financial reporting process from the global consolidation activities through SEC reporting, including oversight of a staff accountant
  • Assist in the administration of the company’s current HFM consolidation system
  • Be a leader in the company’s information technology transformation, including future EPM implementations
  • Be a key player in the preparation of important external SEC reporting filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, etc.)
  • Lead the management of the company’s global equity administration and accounting process
  • Own and maintain a strong internal control environment for the financial close and SEC reporting processes
  • Facilitate audit efforts by assisting the coordination of deliverables and resolution of issues between global accounting teams and the internal and external auditors
  • Assist in continuous development and monitoring of financial close KPIs for domestic and international sites with ongoing feedback provided to C-suite management
  • Support the assessment, documentation and training of global finance teams on accounting policies, procedures, and new technical accounting developments
  • Participate in special projects or ad-hoc analysis in support of finance department and company initiatives
