To be a good fit for the Communications Lead opportunity, you will serve as the official copywriter for CTS Corporation and will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a corporate communications role, ideally including engineering or technical manufacturing organizations
  • A demonstrated talent for high quality writing and content development
  • Solid understanding of communicating through voice of customer (VOC) styles; including employees, investors, and end use customers.
  • Agility to adapt content and take a tactical approach based on communication type – print, website, email, social media, video scripting, presentations, etc.
  • Develop content for internal and external use. Assisting in the creation and maintenance of employee newsletters, company intranet, press releases, product bulletins, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and social media platforms
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and marketing automation platforms. Salesforce Pardot and InCopy are a plus

You will work regular business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours based on priorities and team schedules. We currently use a hybrid model that allows you to work remotely up to two days a week.



You will report to and collaborate with the head of Marketing, developing internal and external communications and work closely with HR, product management and other key personnel. You'll be an integral part of the development and execution of communication plans that align our key messages with the appropriate audiences.


This will include writing and distributing created content and multimedia communications to internal and external audiences. This position is integral to promoting CTS culture, brand, activities, and capabilities. Through various channels, both offline and online, you'll be a key member of the Marketing Department; developing tailored communication plans and content to drive engagement and positively promote our company's public image.


More specifically, you will:

  • Develop effective corporate internal communications to all levels and align technical content communications to a broad array of audiences.
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership and management
  • Internal Communications: plan, edit, write, and distribute content for intranet, quarterly newsletters, email announcements, scripts, presentations, etc.
  • External Communications: work with management, product engineers, and other key stakeholders to create meaningful content to be shared via mass media, through professional sales channels and to specific target segments
  • Serve as official copywriter for the organization
  • Assist in the content creation of CTS investor and public relation materials
  • Ensure that organizational initiatives, projects, and message are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute social media content plan and communicate with followers
  • Prepare monthly reports on marketing efforts and adjust accordingly
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in internal and external communications
