The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this job, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Accountant opportunity, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with exposure in corporate accounting or finance.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with global entities and other internal and external contacts.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work both as a member of a team and independently to accomplish responsibilities.
  • The ability to develop relationships with associates from other functions, businesses and regions will be essential in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
  • Strong learning acumen with the curiosity and drive to expand your knowledge and skills.
  • Solid computer skills including experience with ERP systems and/or a consolidation tool.

Preferred, but not required:

  • CPA or CPA seeking candidates.
  • Recent experience with a consolidation system desired.
  • Experience with ERP and/or SEC reporting tool a plus.
  • Experience working in a corporate or consolidations role at a public and/or multi-national company preferred.

We currently work a hybrid work model at our CTS corporate office.

Your Role

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, as Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the Company’s monthly consolidated financial statements. You will track the global consolidation process as well as perform key checks on financial data that is loaded into the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting system. As Accountant, you will also be responsible for other monthly close related tasks such as preparing journal entries, performing key account and variance analysis, account reconciliations, supporting audits and ensuring internal controls are operating effectively. Specific tasks will include:

  • Assisting the Financial Reporting Manager in the coordination and preparation of the company’s worldwide financial statements.
  • Preparing of consolidation-related journal entries.
  • Performing key account trend and variance analysis.
  • Coordinating efforts between US and international operations to ensure the timely and accurate submission of financial data.
  • Serving as a superuser for the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Blackline systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of key external SEC reporting filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.).
  • Maintaining a strong internal control environment for the consolidation process, including relevant systems.
  • Supporting the company’s internal and external audits.
  • Participating in special projects, including technical systems and accounting improvement projects in support of company initiatives.
