The Quality Specialist provides key support to the Quality Assurance functions in the CTS Albuquerque manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include document control, calibration, internal audits, processing of returned goods, training records, and reporting functions. Recommends improvements to the Quality Management system and process documentation. Completes required process and Quality System documents, takes part in continuous improvement.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Manages and maintains calibration of monitoring and measurement of equipment
- Manages and maintains customer complaint / returned goods tickets and associated reports
- Manages and maintains Material Review Board records and associated reports
- Participates in regular internal system, process, and product audits
- Assist with the management of document control functions
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong computer, data entry, and technical writing skills
- Able to fully comprehend and apply written information to achieve independent decisions
- Sufficient computer knowledge to develop, utilize, and improve methods for tracking and retrieving information
- Ability to work through a project with the end result in mind
- Ability to manage personal work schedule and prioritize workload
- Strong English verbal/written skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent team collaboration skills
Required Education and Experience
- Formal education and/or certifications essential to accomplish the position’s duties and responsibilities
- Associate’s degree in business or quality field preferred
- Lean or Six sigma experience is a plus
- 2-5 years of experience related to Quality Assurance or related field
- Ability to interface with different organizations and employee level with-in the company
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with document control applications
- Knowledge of developing tracking systems/tools
