Job/Position Summary

Supports Quality Assurance System effectiveness in the CTS manufacturing environment to ensure compliance to quality standards and regulatory requirements and the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include document control, calibration, internal audits, corrective action, and monthly reporting.  Perform Final Quality Audits on finished products, use various measuring devices to confirm compliance to customer specifications, recommend modifications to Quality Management system and process documentation, complete required process and Quality System documents, take part in continuous improvement activities. Communicate directly with customers regarding quality concerns, audits, and related issues. Perform investigations related to customer complaints / returns.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manages and maintains calibration of monitoring and measurement of equipment
  • Manages and maintains weekly/monthly Quality reports
  • Completes/Verifies and sends out Corrective Action Reports
  • Manages document control functions
  • Conducts final product quality audits

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and Requirements:

  • Strong computer, typing, and technical writing skills; Sufficient computer knowledge to develop and improve methods for tracking and retrieving information
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and information in procedures in order to achieve independent decisions
  • Ability to work through projects with the end result in mind
  • Ability to manage personal work schedule and prioritize workload
  • Strong verbal/written skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

 

Education and Experience:

  • Formal education and/or certifications essential for the position’s duties and responsibilities
  • Associates Degree, preferably in business or quality management
  • Lean or Six sigma experience is a plus
  • Experience with compliance ISO, AS9100, FDA and/or similar standards strongly preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience related to Quality Assurance / Quality Control or related field
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with different functional groups and employee levels within the company
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Quality System Management Software
  • Knowledge of developing quality tracking systems/tools
