Job/Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted HR partner for the Albuquerque location, supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, HR systems, payroll, compliance, performance management, engagement, and workforce reporting. The role partners with employees and leaders to deliver consistent HR practices, maintain accurate and confidential records, improve processes, and support a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end onboarding, including pre-employment screening, system access, employment documentation, HRIS entry, orientation, and new-hire follow-up.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and separations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel, medical, and employment records in accordance with company and recordkeeping requirements.
- Process employee data transactions in HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring timely and accurate information and documentation.
- Conduct HR systems and employee data audits; resolve discrepancies with leaders and support data integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate bi-weekly payroll, review time and employee data, resolve discrepancies, and support accurate payroll processing.
- Serve as an HR resource for employees and leaders by interpreting policies, answering questions, resolving routine concerns, and coordinating with specialized HR teams.
- Support employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, fact-finding, investigations, corrective action, and follow-up; escalate complex or high-risk matters.
- Partner with leaders on performance management, attendance, coaching, development, training, and consistent application of policies.
- Manage recruitment for assigned openings, including intake, screening, interview coordination, selection support, offers, and pre-employment activities.
- Coordinate temp workforce activities with staffing partners, including onboarding, assignment changes, performance or attendance issues, and conversions.
- Facilitate new-hire orientation and support employee training and development initiatives.
- Provide plant-wide training support by assisting the HR Manager with coordinating, preparing, communicating, and facilitating training for employees and leaders.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports, dashboards, and workforce insights to support business decisions and compliance.
- Plan and execute employee engagement, recognition, community outreach, and site events that strengthen workplace culture.
- Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, tools, communications, and service delivery; support site and enterprise HR initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and experience considered.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience across multiple HR disciplines. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR practices, with the ability to recognize risk, document appropriately, and escalate concerns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills, and experience with HRIS and payroll systems. Ceridian Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, or Employee Central experience preferred.

- Ability to independently manage day-to-day HR responsibilities, exercise sound judgment, and escalate complex or sensitive matters in an autominous environment.
- Ability to build credible working relationships with employees, leaders, and cross-functional partners.
- Strong employee relations, fact-finding, documentation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to interpret and consistently apply policies, procedures, guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating sensitive information professionally and tactfully.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to use HR data and trends to support recommendations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated discretion and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
